Prep/1F are well aware that Miss Ferguson is off to India in the school holidays. She is very excited about this trip, but she is also very nervous.
Miss Ferguson needs to know a bit more about India before she goes and needs your help to calm her nerves Prep/1F!
Help Miss Ferguson out by researching the following information:
– How far away is India?
– What’s the weather going to be like?
– What is there to see in India?
– What are school’s like in India?
When I was your age Prep/1F I really wanted to be a school teacher, I loved the Spice Girls and my favourite movie was Pippi Longstockings. My favourite thing to do in my spare time was play shops or school and I loved spending time with my cat Mog. Now that I’m grown up a few of those things have changed!
I want you to think about yourself. We are going to explore the things that make us happy and the real us!
– What’s your favourite thing to do?
– What movie do you love watching?
– Which band/song is your favourite to sing along to?
– What do you want to be when you’re grown up?
– Name a goal that you have.
I can’t wait to read all about it!
Grace is carefully grouping her lollies to count them.
Ben and Amber are working together to count their balloons and sort them into groups.
Yewande is counting her 100 cheezels by putting them into groups and checking.
The very hungry centepede that the clever Miss Rikki, Mrs G and Miss Boyes created.
The yummy 100 cupcakes a wonderful parent made for us. We certainly shared these around the unit!
Here Lochana and Athieng are searching the room for the numbers 1-100 and marking them off.
This was the banner that the very clever Miss Boyes made for us to proudly walk through all day!
Here in Prep/1F we have been counting down the days until we reached this exciting occasion. We are now officially 100 days smarter!! Over two days we celebrated all things 100. We made 100 glasses which we proudly wore, we wrote about 100 things we would love/not like to have, we bought in small bags filled with 100 items and compared all of these. We have had so much fun learning all about the number 100 and what it means.
When learning the letters of the alphabet and the sounds they can make, Prep/1F explore a range of ways to help make our learning meaningful. Here Tarlee has had success with the play dough at making and spelling her name.
