During the September school holidays Miss Ferguson, Mrs Joyce and Miss Joyce took off on a big plane and headed over to India. We went to a school in a town called Sonepat. The school was called Rishikul Vidyapeeth and it was amazing. It was such a big school, made up of 4 campuses. The campus we stayed at was made up of 5000 students, 1300 of which boarded there.
Students at the school go to classes Monday – Saturday. A bit different to us here at Liddiard Road! They don’t have air conditioners in their classrooms, and many classes don’t have internet. But the students are extremly excited to learn, very respectful and energetic – just like you guys!
Here are some photos for you to look at of Miss Ferguson’s journey to India.
I will post many more photos of my trip to India, but for now I have a job for you.
Complete a venn diagram comparing Rishikul Vidyapeeth to Liddiard Road Primary School. You will need to use your schema and infer for this task.
How hot was it?
Hi Betty,
It was 37-40 degrees everyday. That is hot hot hot weather! It didn’t help when the power went out lots of times a day too!!
I Love the fdos.
Thanks Grace! I hope you like the smilebox slideshow as well. It has lots more photos in it!
Why do they have a play eryu for the children?
Hi George,
The play area is for the kinder/prep students (nursery they call them in India). It’s where these children can go for a break and play. Kind of like when we go outside at snack and lunch time for a break and play.

Wos the munky bad?
Ben all the monkeys we came across were really cheeky and just wanted to eat food. I wasn’t a fan of the monkeys, they scared me!
The platupos is not pink it.s brown.
Thanks girls. Hopefully they are reading these comments in India, so that they know for next time!
